Strategic cultural areas
The London Plan, published by the Mayor of London in March 2016, suggests that strategic cultural areas are: ‘…areas with internationally important cultural institutions, which are also major tourist attractions, and include West End, South Bank/Bankside/ London Bridge, Barbican, Wembley, the South Kensington museum complex/Royal Albert Hall, London’s Arcadia, Olympic Park and Lee Valley Regional Park.’
